PYTHAGORAS' THEOREMOver 2000 years ago, Pythagoras found that when a triangle had a right angle (90 degrees) you could draw three squares coming off each side. The areas of the two squares that came off the 90 degree angle could then be added together to equal the area of the square off the other (longest) side known as the hypotenuse.
